SHOWA DENKO K. K. has been expanding its production capacity since SHOWA DENKO started to manufacture VGCFTM with 20MT/y of production capacity in 1996.  The total production capacity has reached 500MT/y (VGCFTM, VGCF-HTM ; 100MT/y, VGCF-XTM ; 400MT/y).
Customers can choose the best carbon nanotube suitable in various uses from a battery to a composite from 3 kinds of VGCFTM series with different diameter, length, and so on.

  • High purity (Carbon > 99%)
  • High crystallinity
    (high thermal and electrical conductivity, high modulus)
  • Additives for electrodes of LIB (whichever cathode or anode)
  • Additives to various batteries and cells which can improve their performance
    VGCFTM is applicable to
         electrical-conductive composites,
         thermal-conductive composites,
         wear-resistant composites, and
         reinforced composites
    Matrixs which are applicable are
         resin, ceramics, and metal
VGCF-HTM
  • High purity (Carbon > 99%)
  • High crystallinity
    (high thermal and electrical conductivity, high modulus)
  • Easy handling and dispersing due to high bulk density
VGCF-XTM
  • The thinnest in VGCFTM Series
  • Small loading (2 - 3 wt%) is sufficient make resin electrically conductive
  • Electric conductive filler for resin or elastomer composites
