Ceramics Division

The Ceramics Division supplies aluminum hydroxide and alumina to a range of industries, including manufacturers of chemicals, refractories, paper and electronic devices.

Capitalizing on the long-accumulated high-temperature fusion technology, high-temperature sintering technology and the pulverization/classification technology, the division manufactures and sells polish, abrasives and refractories, in which fused alumina, silicon carbide and boron nitride are used.

As for ultrafine titanium oxide, which is used to manufacture multi-layer ceramic capacitors (MLCCs) to be mounted on a range of electronic devices, the division has a high market share for high-end products. It is also developing titanium oxide as photocatalyst material.
