1944
  • Showa Tansan Co.,Ltd. was established with the equal capitalization from Teikoku Suisan Tosei Company (the forerunner of Nichirei Corporation) and Showa Denko K.K..
1956
  • Construction of Kawasaki Plant was completed and production started.
1959
  • Purification and Analysis Process for super-pure carbon dioxide to be used for nuclear power plant were developed under Science and Technology Agency Grant.
1962
  • The company was listed on the Second Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange Market.
  • Showa Dry Ice Hanbai Company (the forerunner of Shotan Shoji Kaisha) was established.
  • Low temperature storage tanks were developed for large volume transportation system for liquid carbon dioxide.
1968
  • Construction of Yokkaichi Plant started in industrial complex shared with Daikyo Oil.
1978
  • Plant for manufacturing liquid carbon dioxide was completed at Kyushu Oil Company (the forerunner of JXTG Nippon Oil & Energy Corporation) , Oita oil refinery complex.(Showa Tansan Co.,Ltd. has contract to take entire output)
1980
  • Plant for manufacturing liquid carbon dioxide was completed at Kinki Ekitan Company, Osaka Senboku Works.
1982
  • Plant for carbon dioxide was constructed at Japan Energy Company (the forerunner of JXTG Nippon Oil & Energy Corporation) , Mizushima oil refinery.(Showa Tansan Co.,Ltd. has contract to take entire output)
1990
  • Distibutorship Agreement for Blasting System was made with Cold Jet, Inc., U.S.A.
1996
  • Technical & Development Center was constructed at Kawasaki Plant.
1997-1998
  • Both Kawasaki & Yokkaichi Plant registered Certificate of ISO 9001.
1999
  • Both Kawasaki & Yokkaichi Plant registered Certificate of ISO 14001.
2003
  • The first overseas subsidiary company "Siam Showa T & T Co., Ltd." was established in Bangkok, Thailand.
2004
  • Both Dry Ice & Liquid Carbon Dioxide manufacturing were started at Osaka Tansan K.K., Osaka Senboku Works.
2007
  • "Showtan Techno-Machine Nanjing Co., Ltd." was established in Nanjing, China.
2008
  • Showa Tansan Co., Ltd. become a consolidated subsidiary of Showa Denko K.K..
2009
  • The company tied up with Showa Denko K.K. and developed sales of industrial gases.
  • Showa Tansan Co., Ltd. become a wholly owned subsidiary of Showa Denko K.K..
2012
  • Showa Tansan Co., Ltd. changed its name to "Showa Denko Gas Products Co., Ltd." on January 1, 2012.
  • Showa Denko Gas Products Co., Ltd. has taken over the rights and obligations pertaining to SDK's industrial gas business on an absorption-type split agreement.
2019
  • Construction of Oita Plant was completed and production started.
2021
  • Started the operation of ISO containers for the first time in Japan which is able to fill liquefied carbon dioxide domestically. Transport liquefied carbon dioxide in large quantities between plants.
2023
  • Showa Denko Gas Products Co., Ltd. changed its name to "Resonac Gas Products Corporation" on January 1, 2023.
