Green Purchasing

Green purchasing means purchasing raw materials etc. by adding the environmental load to cost and quality as purchasing conditions to prioritize environmentally-friendly products and services.

Showa Denko has started green purchasing as part of Responsible Care Activities since 1997, and in 2004, enacted the Green Purchasing Guidelines.

Responsible Care Activities with Partner Companies

In the production sector, it is impossible to conduct business —manufacturing, maintenance work, and distribution etc. — without the support of all partner companies. Therefore, at each operation site, an association of partner companies has been formed in order to transmit information between the Showa Denko Group and its partner companies and to permit the sharing of information between partner companies.

Responsible Care Activities at our operation sites are intended to achieve the same control level, zero accidents and zero disasters, not only in the activities of Showa Denko employees but among employees of all its partners working at the same site.
